Steward accountability

Members can open a No Confidence petition against the active steward (30+ days in the Space to open or sign) or run a steward election when there is no active steward—typically after No Confidence or natural term expiry.

Steward election

Any member can declare candidacy. Voting requires 30+ days in the Space. Plurality wins; ties break by lowest internal user id. When the election closes, the API creates a new steward term for the winner if at least one vote was cast.

No Confidence petition

No active steward term—use an election first, or wait for the API to show a term after a steward is seated.

Until the threshold is met, steward powers remain available for the active term.

Stewards cannot unilaterally delete arbitrary posts, ban members, or dissolve a Space—those flows go through community jury review.
