An ordinary platform, on time

Mizusawa-Esashi, on the Tohoku line. A quiet station, some clean lines, and a train that's going to be there when the board says it'll be. I think boring infrastructure is the most beautiful kind.

How do you find your way out of the station at these rural stops? I've always wanted to walk from one.

Tourist office, if one's open, then just walk toward the hills. It's hard to go too badly wrong.
