The camera that made me slow down

A Yashica FX-2, or one very like the one I learned on. Nothing automatic, and no screen to check. That's 36 chances per roll, and you find out a week later whether any of them worked.

A cheap 35mm prime on a very old digital body. Removing the zoom removed about half of my bad habits.

A pocket film camera on a long hike. You stop shooting everything when each shot costs money.

Is it worth getting into film now, given the cost of it?

As a hobby for a few rolls a year, I think so. As a replacement for digital, you'd have to really love it.
