I have a balcony and a washing-up bowl, and now I have a plan. Has anyone tried this somewhere small?

Yes! Put in a little ramp of stones so anything that falls in can climb out. Use rainwater if you can.

Mine had frogs inside a year. I have no idea how they found it.

I don't know how my downstairs neighbor will feel about a frog, but I'm willing to find out.
