Two surviving tomatoes, one very stubborn plant

Sharing this photo because it's exactly what my season felt like: scrawny stem, gravel everywhere, and somehow still fruit. Tomatoes want to live. It's almost annoying.

A self-seeded tomato in gravel will outlive anything you've coddled in compost, and that's just how it goes.

Try saving seed from whichever plant you neglected the most. They've already passed the audition.

Fry them green. Honor their sacrifice.
