Monthly thread. What did you fix instead of replacing?

I'll go first: reattached the handle of a 40-year-old garden fork with a new ash shaft. It's now better than the fork I almost bought.

Reglued a kitchen chair my neighbor was about to throw out. Took twenty minutes. Hide glue is a miracle.

Replaced a blown capacitor in a monitor. Cost about 30 cents, and I felt like a wizard for a week.

Fixed a wobbly table with a shim. It's not glamorous, but I'm counting it.
