Inflatable kayak: a reluctant recommendation

I was a hard-shell snob for years. Then I moved somewhere with no garage. Inflatables are slower and they do catch the wind, but one that actually gets used beats one sitting in storage.

Anyone paddled one on a multi-day trip?

Did a three-day lake trip in one. Fine with light gear, and miserable in a headwind. Plan around mornings.

How long does it take to dry properly? That's what always puts me off.

Longer than you want. Air it out at home or it'll start to smell by the next trip.
