November skywatching plan: Taurids, Leonids, and a supermoon in the way
NASA's November skywatching notes are up: Taurid and Leonid meteors, Mars near Jupiter, and the month's supermoon.
My plan, for anyone else under suburban skies:
- Meteors: reclining chair, no optics, 45 minutes minimum so your eyes actually adapt.
- Mars and Jupiter: the one night I'll drag the scope out.
- Supermoon: give up on faint targets and just enjoy the thing.
What's everyone else trying to catch this month?

Taking my physics class out for the Mars/Jupiter pairing if the clouds cooperate. Nothing sells orbital mechanics like seeing it with your own eyes.
